Currently, Owl Ridge is working with the U. S. Forest Service and Winter Park Resort to prepare Categorical Exclusions (CATEX) documentation and an Environmental Assessment (EA) for planned future projects at the Resort. Winter Park Resort has proposed projects for Forest Service approval to address long-standing issues and needs at the resort. Projects focus on expanding snowmaking coverage, replacing lifts, adding new lifts and ski trails, expanding facilities and terrain for teaching, and increasing summer recreational opportunities. Owl Ridge services include preparing various permitting documents, conducting scoping meetings, identifying issues of concern, developing alternatives, conducting field surveys, and analyzing potential effects to resources. Owl Ridge has conducted surveys for species of endangered fish, raptors, wetlands, vegetation, and cultural resources.
